A lie by omission is one where one lies by omitting a fact, deliberately leaving another person with a misconception. Lying by omission includes failure to correct pre-existing misconceptions. If you are withholding relevant information in order to sway a person's judgment in some way, then it appears you are in fact lying to him or her. So here's Buddy.
